Food and beverage service training for luxury restaurants and hotels
Excellent Food & Beverage Service is Académie de Bernadac’s F&B service training for luxury restaurants, hotels and lounges. Through practical exercises and real-time tutorials, teams master French, English and American service, wine and champagne service and table setting, performed with discretion, grace and efficiency. Programmes usually run three to five days.
Your situation
The food is excellent. The service decides whether guests return.
In a luxury restaurant, guests judge every gesture: how the plate arrives, how the wine is poured, how a mistake is repaired.
At the table
Service is correct, but not yet memorable.
With the menu
Staff can list the ingredients but not tell the story of the dish.
With the wine
The service hesitates when the guest knows more than the waiter.
When it goes wrong
A wrong plate or a late allergy, and the whole room is watching.

Questions
F&B service training: questions
How long is the food and beverage service programme?
It usually runs three to five days and can be adjusted on request, for example as a shorter refresher before a new season.
Which service styles are covered?
French (butler) service, English (silver) service and American (plate) service, plus wine and champagne service, table setting and clearing. Chinese table service can be included for hotels and restaurants that need it.
Is the training practical?
Yes. Most of the time is spent practising with real plates, glasses and tables, through exercises and real-time tutorials, in your own venue when possible.
Do you train bar and lounge teams?
Yes. Beverage service in lounges, terraces and bars can be part of the programme, as it was for a recent luxury hotel opening.
